Dean Cafin

Dean Cafin, 74 of Palestine, IL, died at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, October 5, 2013 at Paris Health Center in Paris, IL. He was born June 18, 1939 in Flat Rock, IL, the son of Raleigh Cafin and Grace Gaddis Cafin. He was a retired trucker, loved to attend auctions, and collected toy tractors. Dean married Geneva Harris and she survives. He is also survived by his two sons, Rick and Ron Cafin, Palestine; his brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Mary Cafin, Lake Station, IN; a grandson, Josh Cafin, Palestine; a great granddaughter, Mirah Cafin, Palestine, and his sister-in-law, Grace Cafin, Duncanville.Dean was preceded in death by his parents; 5 brothers, Clinton, Albert, Roy, Byrl, and Bob; 4 sisters, Mary Johns, Annabelle Patten, Agnus Tincher, and May Robbins; and his grandson, Jacob Cafin.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 8th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Palestine. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. service time on Tuesday. Burial will be in the Palestine Cemetery.
