Dema L. Rich

Dema L. Rich, 89, of Robinson, IL, died at 8:21 a.m. on Sunday, April 24, 2016 at the Crawford Memorial Hospital in Robinson. She was born October 22, 1926 in Robinson, IL, the daughter of Dan Frakes & Flora (Knoblett) Frakes, both of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Bob Rich, on December 19, 2015. She is survived by her brother & sister-in-law, Jack & Edna Frakes (Robinson, IL); brother-in-law & sister-in-law, John & Carolyn Rich (Willow Hill, IL); her nephew, Rodney & Cathy Frakes (Terre Haute, IN); her stepdaughter & son-in-law, Vanessa & Matt Phillips (Lewis, IN). Dema was a 1944 graduate of Robinson High School. As a young woman, she worked for The Deck in Robinson, and was a telephone operator for a time. She went on to work for Victor Dana before retiring at the age of 62. When she wasn’t working, Dema enjoyed spending time at home, and took great care of it. She was a woman who truly loved life and will be greatly missed by those who knew her. A time of visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 29th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Funeral services will follow the visitation and will be held at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Jay Regennitter officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery, rural Palestine. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Robinson, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
