Don Arthur Bailey

Don Arthur Bailey, 85, of Robinson, IL, passed away on Sunday February 15, 2015 at Heritage Health Care in Robinson, surrounded by family and friends. He was born February 12, 1930 in Robinson, the son of Bert Harvey Bailey & Mabel Ethel Miller Bailey. He retired from Marathon Oil Co. in 1986 after 34 years of service. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Robinson, the Robinson Masonic Lodge #250, the Danville Scottish Rite, and the Robinson Elks Lodge #1188. He married Galora Jean Rush on August 9, 1950, and she preceded him in death on September 7, 2005. He was also preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Lucille Barrick; his brother, Ray Bailey; his son, David “Boots” Bailey on September 9, 1998; as well as his grandson, Dusty Bailey in March, 1999. Don is survived by two sons & daughters-in-law, Donnie Bill & Joanie Bailey (Porterville, IL) and Micheal Douglas & Dianna Bailey (Robinson, IL); his daughter & son-in-law, Gina & Lawrence Colliflower (Rural Hutsonville, IL); daughter-in-law, Nancy Bailey (Robinson, IL); sister-in-law & brother-in-law, Judy & John Crane (AZ); his grandson, Curtis Bailey; granddaughters, Michelle Bailey, Heather Bailey, April Bailey, Laina Bailey, and Brandi Bailey; 9 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; step grandchildren, Tracy Franklin and Stacy Goodland; as well as his nephews, Chris Bailey, Jerry Bailey, Scott DeBelle. A time of visitation will be held from 9:00-11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 19th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Masonic rites will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday following the visitation. Funeral services will follow, with Billie Ray Ulrey to officiate the service. Burial will follow in the Tohill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Activity Department at Heritage Health or to Lincolnland Hospice, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
