Donald Ray Myles, 76, of Robinson, died June 6, 2013 at 7:15 p.m. (EST) at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, IN. He was born January 28, 1937 in Darwin, IL, the son of Harold Leon Myles & Doris Louise Thompson. He was a laborer, working for Lycan Implement and LaMotte Twp for several years. He was passionate about horse pulling, and was a member of the Robinson Saddle Club and Illinois Horse Pullers Association. Don also enjoyed gardening and making maple syrup and fishing. He also collected John Deere toys. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Hutsonville, and attended for as long as he was able.On July 5, 1963, Don married Nancy Sager, and she preceded him in death on February 20, 2009. He was also preceded by his parents, and his brother-in-law, Ronald Dix.He is survived by his five siblings & their spouses, Sarah L. Myles (St. Louis), Dorothy L. & Robert McColly (Robinson), Linda Dix (Hutsonville), Harry E. €œButch€ & Judy Myles (Hutsonville), Mary J. & Wayne Dix (Martinsville); his sister-in-law, Phyllis & Harry Rich; three special friends, Kylie Krick, Jennifer Richardville, and Sara Ruprecht; several nieces & nephews.Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 12th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Palestine, with Bro. Randy Nave officiating. Burial will be in the Jones Cemetery, rural Flat Rock. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 11th at the funeral home.
