Donald W. Stevenson

Donald W. Stevenson, 83 of Robinson, IL, died at 4:00 a.m. Friday, January 29, 2010 at Ridgeview Care Center, Oblong. He was born October 2, 1926 in Flat Rock, Il, the son of Thurman E. Stevenson and Addie Fitts Stevenson. He was a gas station attendant at Marathon and a member of the Oak Grove Church, Palestine.He is survived by his nephew, Richard and Fayma Shedelbower, Robinson; several nieces; 2 sisters, Shirley Wells, Paris, KY and Mildred Shedelbower, Robinson.He married Norma Elaine White on August 23, 1998 and she preceded her in death on June 20, 2006. He was also preceded in death by his parents; and 2 sisters, Wanda Brashear and Mary Stevenson.Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday February 1, 2010 at the Oak Grove Cemetery, rural Palestine with Rev. Tom Akers officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Goodwine Funeral Home, Robinson.
