Doris I. Jackson

Doris I. Jackson, 98 of West Union, IL passed away Sunday, October 20, 2013 at 2:45 a.m. at Union Hospital, Terre Haute, IN. She was born November 30, 1914 in West Union, the daughter of Posey Rush and Helen Medsker Rush. Doris worked in production at T. R. W. in Marshall for several years before her retirement. She is survived by her son, William R. (Jody) Jackson, York; her two daughters, Sandra L. Pursifull, Gallatin, TN and Phyllis A. (Larry) Haddix, West Union; 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; and a great great grandchild.She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 sons, Charles A. Jackson and Norman K. Jackson; a grandson; 2 brothers, Randal Rush and Norman Rush; 4 sisters, Edith Rush, Flo Graham, Virginia Milbourn, and Phyllis MillerGraveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 22nd, at the Harrison Cemetery, rural West Union. Pastor Ken Gillaspy is in charge of services. There will be no visitation.Memorials may be made to the West Union Library or the local Humane Society. They may either be sent directly to the recipient or to the funeral home.
