Dorothy E. Wesner

Dorothy E. Wesner, 83, of Flat Rock, IL, died at 1:06 a.m. on Tuesday, August 12, 2014. She was born August 16, 1930, the daughter of Clarence D. & Hallie Lamb. She retired from Victor-Dana in Robinson after several years of service. She was a member of the Flat Rock Christian Church, the Flat Rock American Legion Post Auxiliary, and the Order of the Eastern Star. On December 24, 1951, Dorothy married Leland M. Wesner, and he preceded her in death on October 5, 2003. She was also preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Beulah Lamb, Norma Melton, Betty Enlow; her brothers, Lester Lamb and Gary Lamb. She is survived by her children & their spouses, Teresa & Mike Conner (Flat Rock, IL) and John & Cheri Wesner (Flat Rock, IL); four grandchildren, Rachelle & Ryan O’Dell (Robinson, IL), Dustin Conner (Flat Rock, IL), Brittney Wesner (Champaign, IL), and Aimee Wesner (Flat Rock, IL); two great-grandchildren, Austin Brasfield and Kaylee Brasfield; her sister, Lois Dix; as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 14th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Flat Rock. Burial will follow in the Jones Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
