Dorothy Josephine Tennis Sagaser, 86, passed into her Savior's arms on November 24th, 2017. She was born May 16th, 1931, in Crawford County. The only child of Charles A. Tennis and Elva Ellen Stifle Tennis, she was beloved by her six children, fifteen grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren. Dorothy was a member of the RHS class of 1949. She was very proud to be among the first female operators at the Marathon Oil Refinery. Dorothy was raised attending Bible Chapel Church, and for the last 48 years has been blessed to be a member of the Flat Rock United Methodist Church family. Dorothy is survived by daughters Joni (Doug) McClure, Neoga; Ann (Jim) Nowotarski, Riverside; Jill (Bill) Lindsay, Lawrenceville; and Lynn (Greg) Fischer, Littleton, CO; and sons Chip (Dawn) Sagaser, Evergreen, CO; and John (Linda) Sagaser, Centreville, MD. Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 28th at the Flat Rock United Methodist Church, with visitation one hour prior to service (10:00-11:00 AM). Burial will be in the Newlin Cemetery, rural Robinson. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that friends perform a good deed without fanfare and think of Dorothy. The Goodwine Funeral Home in Flat Rock is in charge of arrangements.
