Doyle Wayne Nidey

Doyle Wayne Nidey, 48, of Palestine, IL, died at IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, IN on Monday, January 9, 2017. Doyle is now at peace and free of pain after many years of struggling with his illness. Doyle was born June 23, 1968 at Crawford Memorial Hospital in Robinson, IL, to Barbara & Jack, Sr. Nidey. Doyle graduated from Robinson High School in 1987 and later earned an Associate's Degree in Computer Science. He will be remembered as being an avid deer hunter, a lover of all things football, and as a Hank Williams Jr. fan. Doyle is survived by his daughters, Jessica Nidey, Brehanna Nidey, and Kaley Nidey; by his son, Preston Nidey; by his wife, Tania Nidey; by his mother, Barbara Nidey (Robinson, IL); by his siblings, Richard Gaddis (Grayslake, IL), Roger Howard (Atwood, IL), Theresa Nidey (Texas), and Jack Nidey (Robinson, IL); by his granddaughters, Aleighea and Kyeslynn; by his aunts and uncles, Lois Davis (Oblong, IL), Velma Simpson (Robinson, IL), Marlene Corley (Atwood IL), Gene & Charlene Waggoner (Plainfield, IN), Floyd & Betty Stout (Hutsonville, IL), Gary & Patty Davis (Palestine, IL), and Linda & Rick Seamon (Oblong, IL); and by many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Nidey, Sr.; by his paternal grandparents, Howard & Wanda Nidey; by his maternal grandparents, Millard & Dorothy Davis; and by his uncles, Kenneth Simpson, Donald Davis, Jerry Davis and Paul Howard. A time of visitation will be held from 11:00-2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 12th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Palestine. Funeral services will follow and will be held at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Palestine Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to his wife, Tania Nidey, to help pay Doyle's medical bills. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
