He was born on December 28, 1959 in East Chicago, IN, the son of Oris & Winifred (Catt) Waggoner, both of whom preceded him in death. He married Sachiko (Nakatchi) Waggoner in June of 1979, and she preceded him in death in May of 1987. He was also preceded by death by his son, Steven Waggoner; and by his brother, Rod McClure. He is survived by his son, Josh Waggoner (St. James, MO); by his daughter, Shannon Willey (St. James, MO); by his grandchildren, Sachiko & Umeko Willey, and Dillon & Cheyanne Waggoner; by his brothers, Scott McClure (Gary, IN), and Dale Waggoner; by his sisters & brothers-in-law, Gaythal & Richard Wesley (Flat Rock, IL), Barb & Ron Reynolds (Tipton, IN), Kathy Dusseau (Gary, IN), and Melinda Hill (Oblong, IL); as well as several nieces and nephews. Dwayne proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. Back home, he enjoyed spending time horseback riding, and found a passion in photography. Dwayne also loved to look back and tell stories of his past. Any one of his friends could attest to the fact that he wasn’t afraid of pranking others, and that he enjoyed his life fully. It was Dwayne’s wish to be cremated, with services to be held at a later date. The Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson is in charge of arrangements.
