Edra Weck

Edra WeckEdra Weck, 88, of Robinson, IL died at 3:25 p.m. on Thursday, June 27, 2013 at the Crawford Memorial Hospital Long-Term Care Unit. She was born May 19, 1925 in Palestine, the daughter of Fred Richards & Vera Cox Richards. Edra was a farm wife for several years. In her later years, she worked for Wal*Mart, from where she retired. She was a lifetime member of the VFW Post #4549 Ladies Auxiliary, and was also a member of the American Legion Post #69 Auxiliary, the CMH Auxiliary, and the Robinson Free Methodist Church. She enjoyed NASCAR races and playing Bingo and was an avid reader.Edra married Donald E. Weck on April 30, 1946 and he preceded her in death on November 4, 1998. She was also preceded in death by her brother, William Richards; her sister, Helen Needs; and her son, Richard Weck.She is survived by her children & their spouses, Rita & Pat Richards (Robinson), Gary Weck (Robinson, IL), Terry & Kay Weck (Annapolis, IL), and Doug & Penny Weck (Annapolis); her daughter-in-law, Martha Weck (Robinson); seven grandchildren & their spouses, Phoebe & Doug Gill (Oblong, IL), Tanner Richards (Burbank, CA), Drew & Alyssa Weck (Paducah, KY) Megan & Kevin Hercula (Gilbertsville, KY), Danielle Weck (Palestine), Harley Weck (Carlisle, IN), and Amanda Weck (Annapolis); as well as several extended family members; 6 great-grandchildren; special nieces, Karen Chalupecky (Hillsboro, WI), Janet Menacher (Oblong); her sisters-in-law, Norma Richards, Erlene Colcord, Sue Laughead; and her brother-in-law, Leonard Weck.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 30th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson, IL with Adam Conder officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 29th at the funeral home.
