Frank F. Bubeck, 90, of rural West Union, IL, died at 12:15 p.m. Monday, March 22, 2010 at the Burnsides Community Health Center, Marshall, IL. He was born March 9, 1920 in West Union, the son of B. V. Bubeck and Ruth Geisert Bubeck. Frank was a farmer and owned a construction company for 50 years. He served in the U. S. Navy during WWII, was a Lifetime member of the Marshall American Legion Post #90, the York Masonic Lodge #313 of West Union, the Danville Consistory, and the Ainad Shrine of East St. Louis. He was a director of the First National Bank of Marshall for 10 years and was the co-owner of the Clark County Metal Products Co. He was also a member of the Brick United Methodist Church, rural West Union.Frank married Willella Samford on June 14, 1949, and she survives. Also surviving are 3 children, his son and daughter-in-law, Carl and Mindy Bubeck, rural West Union: his 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and John Smith Jr., West Union, Jill and Willard Paxton, Cerulea, Ky; 8 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and his sister, June Giffen, Charleston, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Virginia Bryan.Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 25th at the Prust Hosch Funeral Home in West Union. Pastor Judy Williams is in charge of services. Visitation is from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 24th at the funeral home with Masonic services at 8:00 p.m. by the York Masonic Lodge #313. Military rites will be conducted at the funeral home following the funeral services. The Marshal American Legion Post #90 will be in charge. Memorials may be made to the Brick United Methodist Church or to the Lincoln Land Hospice, with envelopes at the funeral home.
