Gage Higginbotham, 14, of West Union, IL died Thursday, May 31, 2012 at his residence. He was born March 5, 1998 in Robinson, IL, the son of Randy Higginbotham and Machelle Painter Higginbotham. He was a student at Hutsonville Grade School and a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Gage loved to farm with his dad and grandpa. He also loved Case tractors, big trucks, 4-H, four-wheelers, and his dog, €œClyde€.Gage is survived by his parents, Randy & Machelle Higginbotham (West Union); his sister, Saja Scott(West Union); his paternal grandparents, Bob & Rosalee Higginbotham (West Union); his maternal grandparents, Bill & Marge Painter (Lawrenceville); his maternal great grandmother, Etta Pruitt (Vincennes, IN); his aunts & uncles, Janet Higginbotham (West Union), Jeannette St. John (West Union), Lori & Kevin Fox (Fischers, IN); Andy & Amy Painter (Sumner); his cousins, Kyle Higginbotham, Heather St. John, Jessica St. John, Gracie Fox, Maci Roney, Olivia Painter, Mallory Painter; his great uncles & aunts, Ronnie & Phyllis Higginbotham (VA), Phyllis & Wally Decker (Flat Rock), Marilyn Clark (Indianapolis), John Painter (Vincennes, IN), Joyce & L.J. Benjamin (AZ), Linda Bush (WA) and Beth & Brent Meeks (Vincennes, IN); and his good friend, Zane Heliene.He was preceded in death by his paternal great grandparents, Wiley & Hazel Kenderdine, and Herschel & Dorothy Higginbotham; his maternal great grandparents, Ralph and Nina Tiffany & Robert Painter; 2 great uncles, Robert Keith and Donald Ray Kenderdine; and his cousin, Amanda St. John.Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 4th at the Prust-Hosch Funeral Home with Pastors Josh Swain and Will Bynum officiating. Burial will be in the Harrison Cemetery, rural West Union. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, June 3rd at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Gage Higginbotham Memorial Fund, % Casey State Bank, 405 S. State Highway 1, West Union, IL 62477 with envelopes available at the funeral home.
