Gale Frye

Gale Frye, 87, of Robinson, IL, passed away around 11:30 a.m. on September 24, 2014 at the Lawrenceville Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. He has gone into the light & leaves his loving wife Bettie Frye to mourn his passing. He also leaves behind two sons, Steve Frye of Phoenix, AZ and Larry Frye of Robinson, IL; his daughter, Teresa Michelle Frye of Robinson, IL; grandchildren Shawn Frye (AZ), Katie Frye (AZ), and Rylee Kuntz (MT); as well as seven great-grandchildren. He was born in November of 1927, the son of Clyde & Marie Frye, and they preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Donna (Hudson) Kidwell and his stepmother, Bernice Baker. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Back stateside, he worked for Marathon Oil Co. for several years and retired in February of 1986. There will be a private family service held by the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
