Garry "Bojack" Lee Meese

Garry €œBojack€ Lee Meese, 72, of rural Oblong, died at 5:43 a.m. on Monday, September 5, 2011 at his home. He was born August 3, 1939 in rural Oblong, the son of John Robert Meese, Jr. and Cora Inboden Meese. Garry served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and worked at Victor Dana for 32 years before retiring in 2001. He was a member of the Bible Chapel Christian Church.He married Katharyn Lackey on June 3, 1962, and she survives. He is also survived by his two daughters and sons-in-law, Evelyn Marie & Carl Wiseman (Flat Rock) and Becky & Harold Guyer (Robinson); his son, Gary Wayne & Jeniffer Meese (Solsberry, IN); seven grandchildren, Derek Gill, Alisha Gill & boyfriend Jerry Smalley, Amanda Wiseman Mullins & husband Michael Mullins, Damien Wiseman, Dylan Enochs, Nicholas Meese, and Blake Meese; three step-grandchildren, Stephanie Guyer, Chris Guyer, and Alex Guyer; three great-grandchildren, Cherelle Mullins, Kayle Mullins, and Malachi Wiseman; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Lavern & Donna Meese (Oblong), John & Phyllis Meese (Oblong), and George & Penny Meese (Robinson); two sisters and brothers-in-law, Marylan & Jim Flenner (Robinson) and Dorthy & Larry Ness (Robinson); his last living uncle and aunt, Billy & Beth Inboden (St. Paul, MN); as well as several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Ernest Meese; his sister, Josie Meese Rhoten; and his nephew, Mike Osborn.Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 9th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Burial will be in the Shire Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 8th at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Bible Chapel Christian Church, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
