Georgine Brush

Georgine White Brush, 85, formerly of Robinson, IL, passed away at 7:10 p.m. Saturday, January 9, 2010 at her daughter’s home in Modesto, Ca. She was born September 20, 1924 in Crawford County, IL, the daughter of George White and Flossie Stogsdill White. She was a server at the high school cafeteria. She was a member of the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ, the Sewing Club, and the Wednesday Lunch Club.She married Mervin Brush and he preceded her in death on February 20, 2000. She was also preceded in death by her parents; 4 brothers, Carl, Virgil, Norman, and Earl White; an infant sister, Gladys White; and her son-in-law, Bob Murphy.She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Nancy Brush, Robinson; 2 daughters, Leellyn Brush Murphy, Modesto, CA and Jana Brush, Carrollton, GA; her grandchildren and their spouses, Dawn Gillaspy and her friend, Nora Acarez; Angie and Bob Mullins, Robinson, Andi Brush and her fianc’, Dave Marqua, Robinson, Jeremy and Brooke Brush, Lawrenceville, Amber Gillaspy and fianc’ Sean Drake, Modesto, CA, Karie and Adam Keener, Modesto, CA; and her great grandchildren, Candace and Ethan Mullins, Robinson, Addyson and Olivia Brush, Lawrenceville, Patrick Gillespy, Modesto, CA, Savannah and Austin Kerr, Modesto, CA, Nathaniel, Madison and Aiden Keener, Modesto, CA, Raul, Marina and Marti’n Alcarez, Modesto, CA.Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, January 18, 2010 in the Robinson New Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, January 17 at the Goodwine Funeral Home, Robinson, IL. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Optimal Hospice, 122 W. Granger Ave, Modesto, CA 95350 with envelopes available at the funeral home.
