Gerald (Ernie) Lucas

Gerald (Ernie) Lucas, 50, of Robinson, IL, died at 4:35 a.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at the Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL with loved ones at his bedside. He was born October 23, 1964 in Vincennes, IN, the son of Anna & Richard Hawes, both of whom survive. He is also survived by his wife, Amy Lucas (Robinson, IL), his six daughters, Diana Lucas (Vincennes, IN), Amber Keller (Chicago, IL), Beth Dart (Robinson, IL), Savannah Hudson (Palestine, IL), Kyra Hudson (Robinson, IL), Ashley Lucas (Robinson, IL); by his son, Levi Lucas (Robinson, IL); by his grandchildren, Avyn Lucas and Layla Dart; by his siblings, Larry Lucas (Bridgeport, IL), Denny Snow (Robinson, IL), Ricky Hawes (Robinson, IL), and Sabra Snow (Robinson, IL); as well as several nieces and nephews. He worked as a contractor for many years. Away from work, he enjoyed fishing. He may be gone, but he will never be forgotten. A time of visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 2nd at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Funeral services will follow the visitation and will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, with Pastor David Hyde to officiate the service. Private family graveside services will be held at a later date at the Brockville Cemetery (rural Willow Hill, IL). Memorials may be made to Goodwine Funeral Homes to help Ernie’s family with final expenses.
