Ginnie Ramsey

Virginia €œGinnie€ E. Ramsey, 80, of Palestine, IL died at 8:35 p.m. EST Saturday, November 24, 2012 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, IN. She was born March 7, 1932 in Palestine, the daughter of Hugh Ramsey & Kathryn Staten Ramsey. Upon graduation from Palestine High School in 1950, she went to work for the Palestine Register. She also worked for a local realty company for over 20 years. Ginnie retired at the age of 78 as a supervisor for Lawrence-Crawford, where she was lovingly known as €œGrandma€. She loved the Lord, and was a member of the Pilgrim Holiness Church for 18 years.She is survived by her brothers and sisters & their spouses, Bud & Geneva Ramsey (Bedford, IN), Erleen & Paul Ervin, Sr. (Palestine) and Loren & Skeet Ramsey (Palestine); her nieces & nephews, Terri & Chris, Diana & Dana, Dee & Danny, Danny, Polly & Bill, Darlene & Jeff, Bub & Cherlyn, Sonny as well as several great and great-great nieces & nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 28th at the Pilgrim Holiness Church, with Reverend Paul Gray officiating. Burial will be at the Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 27th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Palestine.
