Glenda Sue Pool

Glenda Sue Pool, 69, of Robinson died on August 20, 2011 at Regional Hospital in Terre Haute, IN. She was born January 20, 1942 in Noble, IL, the daughter of Adrian Clark and Mable Hasler Clark. She co-owned Pool€™s in Robinson with her husband, Stan from 1963-1988. She received her LPN in 1976 and, after working in several nursing facilities, including Cotillion Ridge Nursing Home in Robinson, she retired from Bridgepoint Nursing Home in Vincennes in 2008. After her retirement, she helped many in the area with their rehabilitation as a member of The Golden Girls. She collected dolls and enjoyed traveling, sports, playing piano and spending time with her family. She was a member of the Highland Church of Christ.She married Stan Pool on August 29, 1959 and he survives. She is also survived by her three daughters, Michele & Kenny Nidey (Robinson), Robin & Mike Pleasant (Robinson), and Regina Pool & Gayle Baker (Robinson); her son, Michael Pool (Casey); eight grandchildren, J.J. Murphy, Mandi & Dana Lindley, Ashley & Matt Withrow, Breann Pleasant, Kristi Pleasant, Carrington Pool, Sean Nidey, Matt Nidey; two great-grandchildren, Drew Lindley and Nathan Lindley; one brother, Don & Pat Clark (El Reno, OK); as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her parents and her son-in-law, Kevin Hinterscher.Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 24th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson, with Pastors Shane Bopp and David Vaughn officiating. Burial will be in the Robinson New Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 23rd at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to The Crawford County Relay for Life, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
