Gloria “Jean” (Kemper) France, 58, of Robinson, IL died January 3rd, 2015 at her residence. She was born on June 30th, 1956 in Mattoon, IL, the daughter of Jack and Esther (Newlin) Kemper. She worked at the Robinson Elks for 5 years as a cook. She enjoyed playing bingo and also enjoyed camping and fishing. Most of all, she loved her family. She married William A. France on December 15th, 1974, and he survives of Robinson. She is also survived by 3 daughters and 1 son; Becky and Chris Woods of Oblong, Jolene Smothers of Oblong, Jason and Christina France of Martinsville, and Esther Marie France of Robinson, 8 grandchildren, 2 sisters; Jackie and Jr. Goff of Robinson, Debbie and John Russell of Oblong, Sister-in-laws Phyllis Martinez of Texas, Sue and Ron Metzler of Whittington, Nancy and Gilbert Rodriguez of Arizona and Jack France of Palestine as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her parents, twin brother and sister Martha and Ova Kemper, granddaughter Jenny Woods and in-law’s Lois and Bill France. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 7th, 2015 at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson with Pastor Justin Sweitzer officiating. Burial will follow at the Robinson Old Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 pm on Tuesday, January 6th at the funeral home.
