Harold L. Murray

Harold L. Murray, 89, of Robinson, IL, died at 1:06 p.m. Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at his residence. He was born February 4, 1923 in Bridgeport, IL, the son of Raymond C. Murray and Vivian McGuire Murray. Harold served in the Army Air Corp during WWII. He was an operator at Marathon Refinery retiring in 1984 after 34 years of service. He was a member of the Robinson American Legion Post #69 and the South Union Church. Harold married Mary Wesley on May 8, 1948 and she survives. He is also survived by 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Duane and Karan Murray, Palestine, Terry W. and Marianne Murray, Carroll, Iowa; 7 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents; and a great granddaughter.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson with Brother Jack Cunningham officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Graveside services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the South Union Church, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
