Hattie B. Rich

Hattie B. Rich, 87, of Robinson, died at 2:36 p.m. on Friday, May 31, 2013 at the Casey Healthcare Center in Casey, IL. She was born August 18, 1925 in Shelbyville, TN, the daughter of Hermon Jackson Lankford & Zula Dennis Lankford. Hattie spent her life making her house a home for her friends and family. She also enjoyed spending time gardening. A woman of faith, she was a member of the Church of God in Robinson and also attended the Robinwood Assembly of God.Hattie married George Rich on November 18, 1946 and he preceded her in death on December 29, 1989. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; three sisters; and her son, Edward Rich.She is survived by four daughters & their spouses, Gloria J. & Robert Johns (Decatur, IL), Shirley Beabout (Palestine), R. Diane & Mike Stephens (Robinson), and Wilma Hardiman (Robinson); her adopted son, Mathew & Andrea Rich (Chicago, IL); numerous grandchildren & great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces & nephews.Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 4th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Burial will be held in the Robinson New Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Monday, June 3rd at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer€™s Association, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
