Helen M. Mcnair

Helen M. McNair, 101, of Palestine, IL, died at 4:25 a.m. on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at Heritage Health in Robinson, IL. She was born March 2, 1915, the daughter of Jesse & Lille (Lake) Moore, both of whom preceded her in death. She married Harvey McNair on February 10, 1935, and he preceded her in death on April 6, 1997. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Rae Jean Nash on April 24, 2014. She is survived by her son in law, Joe Nash (Palestine, IL); and by three nephews and one niece. Helen was a hairdresser in Palestine for a number of years, and was a beloved fixture in the community. For those who wish to attend, the public is invited to meet at the Palestine Cemetery for a graveside service which will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 10th. The Goodwine Funeral Home in Palestine is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Palestine Public Library, or to the donor’s choice. Envelopes will be available at the cemetery.
