Jack Webster, 78, was called home by the Lord in accordance to His plan at 10:35 a.m. (EST) on January 10, 2017, surrounded by his family at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, IN. He was born January 22, 1938 in Paoli, IN the son of John Edward Webster & Louella (Longest) Webster, both of whom preceded him in death. He married the love of his life and constant companion, Jonel Clatfelter on March 16, 1957 and she preceded him in death on February 1, 2015. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Tom & Mildred Webster, Mary Ann & Cecil Isom, Jean & O’neal Guyer, Lena & Hack Evans, Ruth & Dean Cherry, and Bob Webster; by his father-in-law & mother-in-law, Harold & Florence Clatfelter; and by his brother-in-law, John E. Clatfelter. He is survived by his daughter & son-in-law, Jeanae & Greg Roberts (West York, IL); by his son & daughter-in-law John & Barb Webster (West Union, IL); by his grandchildren, Mandy & Brett Higginbotham, Matt & Kristin Noblitt, Ryan & Christie Roberts, Jaryd Webster & fiancée Brittney Quick, Dylan Webster & significant other Amanda Kraemer, and Paige Webster; by his great-grandchildren, Gary, Brenna, Reese, and Brock. He is also survived by his siblings, Bill & Reva Webster (Brazil, IN) and Betty Riddell (Brazil, IN); by his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Fred & Dixie Clatfelter (West York, IL), Hal & Linda Clatfelter (West York, IL), and Zelpha Clatfelter (West York, IL); as well and several nieces and nephews. Jack worked for Marathon for many years before retiring from the barrel house. Away from work, he enjoyed carpentry, and had a hand in building every house in the family. Later on in life, he and Jonel could always be found attending their grandchildren’s ballgames. His family has lost a patriarch, a champion, and a friend. He, along with his wife, Jonel, was a longtime member of the Mount Olive Baptist Church, where he also served as trustee. A time of visitation will be held from 3:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 13th at the Prust-Hosch Funeral Home in West Union. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 14th at the funeral home, with Pastor Will Bynum and by his nephew, Pastor Denny Moon officiating. Burial will follow in the Plymouth Cemetery in rural West York. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mount Olive Baptist Church, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
