Jackie “Jack” Mikeworth, 77, of Robinson, IL, died at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 in the comfort of his home. He was born June 3, 1939 in Oblong, IL, the son of Millard Morse Mikeworth & Norma Gail (Thornton) Mikeworth, both of whom preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Cassie Mikeworth. He is survived by his wife, Dolly Maxwell. He is also survived by two sons, David Mikeworth (Robinson, IL) and Shawn Lee & Crystal Mikeworth (Woodland, CA); by five step-children, Anne Smith (TX), Darra & George Studebaker (KS), Rick Biggs (OK), Randy & Debbie Biggs (AR), Lora & Dennis Thompson (AZ); by three grandchildren and fifteen step-grandchildren; by sixteen step-great-grandchildren; by his brother & sister-in-law, Bill & Loretta Mikeworth (rural Robinson, IL); by his brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law, Inge Maxwell, Ron & Elizabeth Maxwell, Dave & Shirley Maxwell, and Ann & Leroy Henthorne; and by several nieces and nephews. Jack was a 1957 graduate of Robinson High School. He went on to serve his country in the U.S. Army from 1962-1965, having served a majority of the time in Germany. Back home, he was a pipefitter, and was a member of Local #597 in Chicago. He will forever be missed by a host of family and friends. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 31st at the Oblong Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Oblong Children’s Home or to Lincolnland Hospice, with envelopes available at the cemetery and at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson, which is in charge of arrangements.
