Jackie Willard Montgomery

Jackie Willard Montgomery, 82, of Placentia, CA, died on June 17, 2015 in Placentia. He was born September 29, 1932 in rural Flat Rock, IL, the son of Willard Montgomery & Grace (Johnson) Montgomery, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Hugh, John, Randall, Paul, and Robert 'Bob' Montgomery; and by his sisters, Helen Frigo, Edna Cacelli, and Mary Loraine Van Dam. He is survived by his brother, Don Montgomery (Placentia, CA); by his sister, Evelyn Swaner (Robinson, IL); by his sister-in-law, Jane Montgomery; by his special niece and caregiver, Cathy Coffman; as well as several other nieces and nephews. Jack proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He went on to work as a longtime custodian for the Whittier School District in Whittier, CA. He will be remembered for his tireless work ethic, for his reserved, shy demeanor, and for the love and care he gave to his Chevrolet Chevelle. A dual graveside service will be held for both Jack and Scott Montgomery at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at the Jones Cemetery in rural Flat Rock. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, with envelopes available at the cemetery.
