Jacob Russell Stewart

Jacob Russell Stewart, 27, of Olney, IL, died on Thursday, July 27, 2017. He was born on December 28, 1989 in Litchfield IL, the son of Russell & Ladell (Walker) Stewart. Jacob graduated in 2008 from Oblong High School. He was an adventurous man with many dreams. He had a little of a wild side, but also a great sense of humor. Jacob was a hardworking man, from working on his cars or building something for his family. He enjoyed weight lifting, exercising and going four-wheeling with Autumn and his friends. Jacob was selfless and out-going. He made friends everywhere he went and was a dedicated Bears fan. His son, Nolan, was the apple of his eye. Jacob cared for and loved his family very much. He is survived by his parents, Russell & Ladell Stewart (Robinson, IL); by the love of his life, Autumn Crouch (Olney, IL); by his son, Nolan Russell Stewart (Olney, IL); by his sister & brother-in-law, Joy & Mike Holt (Jasper, IN); by his brothers, Nathaniel Stewart (Hoffman Estates, IL), and William Stewart (Robinson, IL); by his nephews, Tristian Holt and Joseph Stewart; by his niece, Leona Holt; by his loving fiance's family, Billy & Julie Reese and Wyatt Reese (Oblong, IL); and by several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. Jacob will be missed by many but will remain in the hearts of those that truly knew him. A time of visitation will be held from 3:00-6:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 3rd at the First Christian Church in Oblong. A celebration of his life will follow and will be held at 6:00 p.m. at the church, with Pastor Bill Ikemire and Pastor Dee Wolfe officiating the services. Burial will be held at the Berlin Cemetery on Friday August 4th at 10:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to the “Jacob Stewart Memorial Fund”. Memorial envelopes will be available at the church. The Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson is in charge of arrangements.
