James E. Adams

James Earl Adams, 68 of Robinson, IL, died at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at his residence. He was born September 5, 1944 in Hutton Township, Coles County, IL, the son of Dorsey Oral Adams and Betty Lou Irby Adams. He was a butcher at McDaniel€™s in Casey and at Sievers€™ in Palestine, and worked at Murphy Masonry, Robinson. He was a member of the Robinson V. F. W. Post #4549.Jim is survived by his mother, Betty Lou Adams, Westfield; his special friend, Mary Lou Moss, Robinson; 3 daughters and his son-in-law, Tina Louise and George Murphy, Robinson, Trina Ann Hilderbrand & her friend, Scotty Titsworth, Robinson, and Tonya Jo Adams, Robinson; 2 step-daughters and their husbands, Tonya Lynn and Gordon Arthur, Bicknell, IN, Stacey and Kevin Deckard, Robinson; 10 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 2 sisters and his brother-in-law, Margaret Rose Gosnell, Casey, Doris Lee and Larry Sanders, Casey; 5 brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill and Kay Adams, Martinsville, Wayne and Linda Adams, Effingham, Steve Adams, Ashmore, Mark Alan Adams, Westfield, Phillip and Kay Adams, Marshall; and several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his father, Dorsey Oral Adams; his brother, Dorsey Adams; andhis wife, Doris Jean Adams.Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, September 7, at the Goodwine Funeral Home, Robinson with Rev. Tom Akers officiating. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery, Vincennes, IN on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at 10:00 a.m (C.S.T). Visitation will be held 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, September 7th prior to the services at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Good Samaritan Hospice with envelopes available at the funeral home.
