James Eugene York

James Eugene York, 56, of Sumner died at 11:10 p.m. (EST) on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, IN. He was born February 1, 1957 in Robinson, the son of Ivan & Virginia Newlin York. For a time, he was a laborer, working for Local #1280 in Robinson. Jim loved the outdoors. While not mowing yards, he enjoyed camping and fishing.Jim married Mary Wisdom, and she survives. He is also survived by his son, Nathan Kilpatrick (Robinson); two grandsons; his brothers & sisters, Darlene Arnold (Bridgeport), Ivan €œYancy€ York, Jr. (Robinson), David & Lois York (Hardinville), Donald York (Robinson); as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.A time of visitation will be held from 9:00-11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 19th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. A graveside service will be held at the Hardinville Cemetery following the visitation on Friday. Pastor Rick Catt will officiate. Memorials may be made to the Jim York Memorial Fund, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
