Jane Ellen Johnson, 64, formerly of Seelyville, IN died Sunday, June 16, 2013 at Danville, Regional Rehabilitation Center, Danville, IN. She was born April 13, 1949 at Ikemire Clinic, Palestine, IL to Allen Dale (Gabby) and Mary A. (Bennett) Crampton of Robinson, IL.She married Monte Ray Johnson in October, 1973 and he preceded in death in Terre Haute, IN. in May of 2008. She was also preceded in death by her father in February 1975; her mother in October 2007; and her brother, John C. Crampton of Findlay, Ohio in December, 2003. Also preceding her in death were 3 brothers-in-law, Clinton (Butch) Johnson, Kerry (George) Johnson, Kenneth Ledbetter and 2 sisters-in-law, Vicky Johnson and Cathy Johnson.She is survived by her sister & niece, Judith (Judy) and Lisa Tuttle, Avon, IN; her brother, Gary and Cheryl Crampton, Robinson, IL, 2 brothers-in-law and 6 sisters-in-law, Kelly Johnson, Mila K. Walton, Fredda and Grover (Lee) Brimberry, William (Bill) and Rebecca (Becca) Nethery, Robinson, IL, Sally J. Crampton, Findlay, OH, Marta Ledbetter and Karen L France, Palestine, IL and Kathy & Robert (Bobby) Eveland, Fredericksburg, VA; 26 nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and nephews; 2 former foster children, Carole E. Murphy & Daniel P. Murphy; 2 special daughters, Linda A. Murphy, Athens, AL. and Jessica (Jessie) Hayes, Brazil, IN; 1 special granddaughter, Erica M. Smith, Brazil, IN; and a host of friends. Jane worked numerous years at Palestine, Robinson and Gibson City, IL and Terre Haute, IN. She had been a patient at the Danville Regional Rehabilitation Center for the last 3 years. Many of her friends knew her as the €œM & M lady€ for her shirts and dispensers.Cremation is to take place and her ashes will be buried with her husband with a graveside service by Goodwine Funeral at the Palestine Cemetery in Palestine, IL on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at 2:00 pm (Illinois time).Monte Ray Johnson formerly of Palestine Il. Died Saturday May 17th, 2008 at Harborside Health Care Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Terre Haute, Indiana after a battle with cancer.Born April 6, 1950, in Vincennes, Indiana, he was the son of John Newman Johnson and Lois Ernestine Hesher Johnson. He was a truck driver for Staples Office Supply.On October 26, 1973, he married Jane Ellen Crampton. Surviving him are four sisters and a brother in law, Kathy and Robert Eveland of Fredericksburg Va. Marta Ledbetter and Karen France of Palestine, and Mila Walton of Robinson, a brother Kelly Johnson of Robinson, a half sister and brother in law, Fredda and Grover Brimberry of Robinson, a half brother and sister in law William R and Rebecca Nethery of Florida, a sister in law Judy Tuttle of Plainfield Indiana, a brother in law and two sisters in law, Gary and Cheryl Crampton of Robinson and Sally Crampton of Ohio and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his stepfather, William E. Nethery Sr., two brothers Kerry 'George' Johnson and Clinton 'Butch' Johnson, two sister in laws Cathy Johnson and Vickie Johnson and three brothers in laws Kenneth Ledbetter, John Crampton, and Dean Tuttle.
