Janet Cannady

Janet Cannady, 75, of West York, IL went home to be with her Lord & Savior at 10:25 a.m. on Saturday, November 16, 2013. She was born March 29, 1938 in Palestine, IL, the daughter of Howard Scotten Draper & Helen Irene Draper. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church in West Union, where she was a deacon€™s wife and song leader. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.She married Edward Dale Cannady on December 31, 1955 and he survives. She is also survived by her daughter & son-in-law, Joene & Murray Wheeler (West York); her grandson, Zackary Wheeler (West York); her mother, Irene Draper (Marshall); two sisters & brothers-in-law, Loretta Jean & Maurice Wernz (West Union) and Linda June & Gale Gower (Hutsonville); her sister-in-law & brother-in-law, Vera & Jim Ramsey (West York) as well as several nieces & nephews.She was preceded in death by her father, Howard Draper and her brother, Richard €œButch€ Draper.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 20th at the Prust Hosch Funeral Home in West Union with Brother Randy Nave officiating the service. Burial will be in the Bailiff Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 19th at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Lincolnland Hospice, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
