Jean Currie

Jean Currie, 72 of Robinson, IL died at 6:05 p.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2015 surrounded by her family in the comfort of her home. She was born October 12, 1942 in Robinson, the daughter of Lyle James Currie & Betty Hall Utterback. She was a Press Welder with E. H. Barre for 25 years before retiring in 1999. She was also a member of the Robinson American Legion Auxiliary Post #69. Survivors include her son, Mike Pethtel (Robinson, IL); 9 siblings & their spouses, Connie Utterback, Jerry & Denise Utterback, Donna Sullivan, Mary Jane & Jack Meek, Barbara & John White, Ruth & David Rich, Kay Patterson & Jim Currie (all of Robinson, IL) and Judy & Ed Mason (Henderson, KY), as well as several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother & step-father, Oral & Betty Utterback; her father & step-mother, Lyle & Pat Currie, and her brother, Johnnie Currie. Jean has chosen to be cremated and private family services will be held at a later date, with arrangements by the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
