Jenny Parker

Jenny Parker, 66, of Palestine, IL, died at 9:45 p.m. (EST) on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, IN. She was born March 13, 1948 in Oblong, IL the daughter of Junior Harris & Florence Crum Harris. Jenny worked as a coil tester for Robinson Transformer for several years. She enjoyed riding around in her golf cart, and loved her dog, Tinkerbell. Jenny married Leon Parker on February 7, 1970, and he survives. She is also survived by her daughter, Samantha Parker (Palestine) and boyfriend, Joe Evans; her brothers, sisters, & in-laws, Bert Harris (WY), Billy & Cindy Harris (Rockdale, IL), Charles & Cathy Harris (Trimble, IL), Ray Harris (Channahon, IL), Robert Harris (WY), Mike Harris (Olney, IL), Richard & Sandy Meeks (Oblong), Jerry & Wanda McDaniel (Oblong), Vivian Harris (CA), and Tammy Harris (Robinson); her sisters-in-law, Judie McCarter (Palestine), Betty Mills (Palestine), Janet Brown (TX); as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Graveside services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, April 14th at the Oblong Cemetery in Oblong, IL. A time of visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Palestine on Monday.
