Jeremy Sullivan, 33, of Robinson, IL, passed away on September 22, 2025.
From the very beginning, Jeremy had a light that drew people in. Born eight weeks premature on August 8, 1992, in Wichita, KS, he spent his first year in Natoma, KS, before moving with his family to Pontiac, IL, where he grew up. Even as a boy, Jeremy’s personality shone bright — goofy, stubborn, quick-witted, and full of life. He was the kind of person who could walk into a room, read it instantly, and make it brighter just by being there. His humor, warmth, and ability to connect with others left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
As a child, Jeremy loved spending time outdoors — hiking with his family at Humiston Woods in Pontiac and camping at Bayou Bluffs. He enjoyed video games and always had a curious mind and a creative spirit. Those close to him knew he could find fun in almost anything, turning ordinary days into adventures.
Jeremy poured himself into the things he loved. He was passionate about working out and weightlifting, always striving to stay active and strong. He took joy in growing things, taking horticulture classes, and finding peace in nurturing life from the soil. Though he jumped around from job to job, it was never about the work itself — it was about the people he met and the memories he made along the way.
Above all, Jeremy loved spending time with his friends and family, cherishing the moments of laughter, conversation, and togetherness.
He is survived by his mother, Joan (Legner) Sullivan; his siblings, Dustin Sullivan, Kaitlin Sullivan, and Kyle Sullivan; his maternal grandmother, Mary Lou Legner; his stepfather, David Sullivan Jr.; his step-siblings, Brandi Miller-Lord, Kelly Sullivan, Josh & Patti Hetherington, and Sara Harder; his step-grandmother, Marcia Wilson; and by several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Christopher Cheshareck; his paternal grandparents, Michelle and Robert Cheshareck; his maternal grandfather, Justin Legner Jr.; and his step-grandfather, William Wilson.
Jeremy’s life was a reminder that even a short journey can leave a long trail of love and laughter. His family and friends will forever remember his humor, his big heart, and the way he made life a little brighter for everyone around him.
Jeremy will be cremated, and family services may be held at a later date. Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson is assisting with arrangements.
