Jimmy & Patricia E. Pinkstaff, 82 & 79, of Flat Rock died on Wednesday, August 14, 2013.Jimmy was born October 17, 1930 in Muskogee, OK, the son of William Pinkstaff & Willie Viola Pinkstaff. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired after many years of work as a field foreman for Getty Oil Company. In his free time, he enjoyed gardening and playing golf, and was a member of the Flat Rock Masonic Lodge #348.Patricia (€œPatty€) was born August 9, 1934 in rural Flat Rock, the daughter of Bennie Stevenson & Irene Dunlap Stevenson. She retired from Crawford County Supervisors of Assessments after working several years as an Administrative Assistant. She loved to read and to cook for her family.They were married October 14, 1955. In their 57 years of marriage, they were blessed to share many memories, passions, and friends. In particular, they both were devoted St. Louis Cardinal fans. They also shared a church family at the 1st Missionary Baptist Church in Flat Rock.Jimmy & Patty had one daughter & son-in-law, Ann & Tim Wade (Robinson), and they survive. They are also survived by their grandsons Tyler and his wife Shonda Wade (Robinson) and Trenton Wade (Evansville, IN); Jimmy€™s brother, Charles Pinkstaff (Hanson, KY); his sister & brother-in-law, Malcom & Bob Bowen (Flat Rock); his two nephews, Wayne Pinkstaff and Bruce Bowen; and his niece, Shelly Frederick; Patty€™s sister & brother-in-law, Lota & Dr. Jerry Ford (Marion, IL); her brother & sister-in-law, Bennie & Shirley Stevenson (Robinson, IL); her nephews, Mark Ford and Clint Stevenson; and her niece, Dana Tylka.Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 18th at the 1st Missionary Baptist Church in Flat Rock with Dr. Jerry Ford and Pastor John Mulvaney officiating the services. Burial will be in the Jones Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00 until service time at 4:00 on Sunday at the church. The Goodwine Funeral Home in Flat Rock is in charge of arrangements.
