Joe Alan Hall

Joe Alan Hall, 69, of Robinson died at 2:05 p.m. on Thursday, March 28, 2013 in the comfort of his residence. He was born March 14, 1944 in Robinson, the son of Ralph Hall & Myrtle Rigney. After graduating high school, he proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force. Joe worked for Marathon Oil for 30 years. Away from work, Joe enjoyed spending time on the Wabash River, specifically at Harness Landing, his cabin for 25 years. When he wasn€™t fishing, Joe also enjoyed golfing and playing cards. He and Peggy wintered in Harlingen, TX for the last 15 years. He was a member of the Robinson American Legion Post #69, the Palestine AmVets Post #33, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Palestine.He married Peggy (Albert) on December 22, 1998, and she survives. He is also survived by his sister, Maxine Gray (Robinson); his daughter and son-in-law, Melissa & Dr. Benjamin Chiu (Kokomo, IN); his daughter, Michelle Hall (Robinson); his step-daughter & step-son-in-law, Melissa & Patrick Sanders (Robinson); his step-son, Rob Minnick (Waco, TX); his father-in-law & mother-in-law, Leonard & Geneva Albert (Zeipher Hills, FL); four grandsons and two granddaughters.He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Barbara Caballero.Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson with Floyd Wood officiating the service. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery, rural Palestine. Visitation will be held from 1:00 until service time at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Wednesday. Memorials may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice or to New Hebron Christian School, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
