She was born October 19, 1933 in Hammond, IN, the daughter of Michael Rodgers & Opal (Hunt) Rodgers, both of whom preceded her in death. Johann lived in Hammond, IN for many years before moving to Flat Rock following the death of her husband. Through the years, much of her time was spent alongside her mother, Opal. The two of them enjoyed quilting and were known to go shopping a time or two. She also spent quite a bit of time with her sister-in-law, Frances, with whom she shared a love for Bingo. Johann could often be spotted at the Maxwell House, and was a regular there for many years. Though all of this was important to her, few things brought her more joy than simply playing her piano. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 28th at the Tohill Cemetery, rural Flat Rock. The Goodwine Funeral Home in Flat Rock is in charge of arrangements.
