John A. Hemrich

John A. Hemrich, 84, of Flat Rock died at 3:41 a.m. on Monday, November 25, 2013 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, IN. He was born June 24, 1929 in Ste. Marie, IL the son of Henry Hemrich & Bertha Shelly Hemrich. John was a farmer and a laborer, working construction many years as a member of Local #1280 in Robinson. Away from work, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping.He married Rowena Foster in November, 1951 and she preceded him in death on September 15, 1987. He was also preceded in death by his parents; as well as his brothers & sisters, Martin, Albert, Lucille, Irene, Elmer, Mary, & Leonard.John is survived by his two sons & daughters-in-law, Joe & Karen Hemrich (Oblong), and Randy & Beverly Hemrich (Rural Flat Rock); as well as his four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 27th at the Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Newton, IL with Curt Goodwine officiating the service. The Goodwine Funeral Home in Flat Rock is in charge of arrangements.
