John Byrl Hawkins

John Byrl Hawkins, 87 of Flat Rock, IL, died at 2:20 p.m. Thursday, September 22, 2011 at Crawford Memorial Hospital, Robinson, IL. He was born October 29, 1923 in Flat Rock, the son of Harry and Odessa Norton Hawkins. He played the piano for over 30 years at the Executive Inn in Vincennes. He is survived by 2 nieces and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Norton and Charles Hawkins; and an infant sister, Floy Hawkins. There will be private family graveside services at the Fuller Cemetery rural Palestine. There will be no visitation. The Goodwine Funeral Home in Flat Rock is in charge of the arrangements.
