John William Maddox, Jr.

John William Maddox, Jr., 61, of Robinson, died at 8:07 a.m. on Saturday, December 03, 2011 at the Crawford Memorial Hospital in Robinson. He was born November 19, 1950 in Robinson, the son of John Maddox, Sr. and Mary Ellen Sturm Maddox. John loved music, and it was his love of music that drove him to graduate from Vincennes University with an associate€™s degree in music education. After graduation, he went to work for L.S. Heath and worked in the plant for 40 years, where he was an Inventory Control Analyst. He was a member of the Highland Avenue Baptist Church, as well as the Palestine Alumni Band.He married Mandy Stewart on March 26, 2004 and she survives. He is also survived by his father, John Maddox, Sr.; four children, Kristi & Jason Knox (Canal Fulton, OH), Landon T. Johnson (Robinson), Collin R. Johnson (Robinson), and Logyn M. Johnson (Robinson); his brother, Alan R. Maddox (Palestine); his nephew, Stephen & Tricia Maddox (Fischers, IN); as well as his parents-in-law, Robert Milam (Robinson) and Jeneen & Mike Myers (Palestine).Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 7th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson, with Rev. Jerry McDaniel officiating the service. Burial will be in the Robinson New Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 6th at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Riley€™s Children€™s Hospital or to the Crawford County Relay for Life, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
