Juanita R. Plummer

Juanita R. Plummer, 96, of Olney, IL formerly of Stoy, IL died at 6:50 a.m. on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at Burgin Manor in Olney. She was born December 13, 1917 in Burnt Prairie near Fairfield, IL. She was a very talented piano and organ player and played not only in her home, but also at Bible Chapel for several years, and the nursing home. Juanita married Ralph Plummer and he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her infant son, David Plummer; her son, Larry Joe Plummer; her parents; her brothers and sisters, Lloyd Cravens, Elmer Cravens, Katherine Pflaum, and Jo Rose. She is survived by her children & their spouses, Jerry & Nancy Plummer (Oblong, IL), Charlene & Ron Riippi (DeKalb, IL), Dewayne “Boomer” & Barbara Plummer (Robinson, IL), Randy Plummer & significant other, Jane Lewis (Oblong, IL); several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; her sister, Jeanie Jenkins (Belmont, IL); as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 23rd at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. A private graveside service will be held at a later date in the Oblong Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until service time at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Crawford County Humane Society or to Richland County Hospice, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
