Judith Townley

Judith Townley, 70, of Robinson, IL, died at 2:25 a.m. on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at the Crawford Memorial Hospital in Robinson. She was born April 22, 1945 in Vincennes, IN, the daughter of Charles Edward Cummins & Ruby Alice Bryley, both of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her brother, William Anthony Cummins; and by her sister, Shannon Sue Reed. She is survived by her children & their spouses, Mindy Cummins (Robinson, IL), Rhonda Townley & Michael Garrette (Indianapolis, IN), Melissa Townley & Randy Miller (Robinson, IL), Matthew & Cheryl Townley (Flat Rock, IL), and Tracy & Kenneth Chenault (Bedford, IN); by seven grandchildren, Cheyanne Miller, Sydney Schottman, Jordan Schottman, Kyle Melvin, Kayla Wigley, Levi Chenault, Cheyenne Garrard; by great nephews Gabriel Maldonado and Blake Powell; by her sister & brother-in-law, Rita & Edward Ruble (Robinson, IL); by her sister-in-law, Terry Cummins (Hammond, IN); by her nieces and nephews, Joshua Cummins, Joseph Cummins, Teresa & Steven Clark, Steven & Susan Ruble, Chad Hammond, Josh Powell; by her special niece, Ashley Hammond. She worked in Data Processing for Regional Hospital in Terre Haute for a number of years before retiring in the late 1990s. Most of her retirement was spent loving her family, especially her grandkids, who lovingly referred to her “Mimi”. She will long be remembered for the selfless love she gave to her children and grandchildren. A time of visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 14th at the funeral home with Bro. Dwight McDaniel officiating the service. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceville Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
