Kathleen Jeanette Dart

Kathleen (Kathy) Jeanette Dart, age 76, of Robinson, Illinois, passed away on April 1, 2026.

She was born on November 9, 1949. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raydell Sellars Bartmess and John Brooks Bartmess, and her biological father, Bobbie Dean Brackett; her brother, Steve Bartmess; and her sister, Connie Nichols.

Kathy is survived by her son, Joseph Dart, and his partner, Bobbie Milam; and by her siblings: Brian and Jane Brackett, John and Beverly Bartmess, and Thomas and Chris Bartmess. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Wesley Dart, Jasmine Brewer, Lexi Brewer, and JJ Chessman.

Kathy enjoyed crocheting, gardening, attending auctions, and helping those around her. Most of all, she loved her animals, which brought her great joy throughout her life.

She will be remembered for her quick wit and spirited personality, as well as her kindness, her giving heart, and the love she had for her family and animals.

A time of visitation will be held from 12:00-1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 10th, at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Palestine. A memorial service will immediately follow the visitation and will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, with Brother Joshua Keenan officiating. Burial will be in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Crawford County Humane Society, and memorial envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
