K. W. Douglas, 85 of rural Robinson, died at his home Saturday, January 18, 2014 after an extended illness. He was born August 6, 1928 in Owensville, IN, the son of Ernest and Mabel Leffler Douglas. K. W. owned and operated Kens Auto Sales and the Robinson Auto Salvage from 1972 to 1993. He married Mary Kathryn Dennis November 22, 1968 and she survives. He is also survived by 4 daughters and sons-in-law and 2 sons-in-law, Dianne Douglas, Robinson, Connie and Billy Calvert, Robinson, Karen Douglas, Robinson, and Kathy and Mike Bush, Robinson; his son, Ronald “Kenny” Douglas, Robinson; his step-son and his wife, Randall and Katherine Tracy, Robinson; 14 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren; his sister, Dorothy Laib, Princeton, IN; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his parents; his son Terry Douglas; and his grandson. He was also preceded by 2 sisters, Margaret and Virginia; 4 brothers, Lloyd, Harold, Darrell, and Jerry Douglas. Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 21st at 4:00 p.m. at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Pastor Bessie Adams is in charge of services. Burial is in Shire Cemetery. Visitation is at the funeral home from 2:00 p. m. to 4:00 p. m. Tuesday preceding the service. Memorials may be made to the Spay and Neuter Foundation or to the American Cancer Society.
