Kyle Gullett, 55, of Robinson, IL, died at 6:25 a.m. on Friday, January 30, 2015 at his home. He was born July 20, 1959 in Lawrenceville, IL, the son of Floyd Eugene Gullett & Nona (Chiddix) Gullett. He was a 1977 graduate of Oblong High School. Squeezer loved trucking, and was a truck driver for most of his life, and was most recently driving for Dogwood Creek Farms. He also loved tractor pulling, which he enjoyed for over forty years. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, his quick wit, and the way he warmed any situation. He was a beloved father, husband, uncle, and friend. Kyle married Kathie Newton on May 23, 2003, and she survives. He is also survived by his two daughters, Chastity & Chris Luna (Paducah, KY) and Nichole & Brian Mendenhall (Palestine, IL); his son, Donnie “D.J.” Nichols (Robinson, IL); his mother, Nona Gullett (Robinson, IL); two brothers, Aaron & Daphne Gullett (Beecher City, IL) and Terry & Pati Gullett (Mayfield, KY); two nieces; four nephews; as well as one great-nephew and one great-niece. He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd Eugene Gullett. A time of visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 3rd at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 4th at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Palestine Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
