Ladonna Jean Tidwell

LaDonna Jean Tidwell, 69, of Palestine, IL, died at 7:18 a.m. Sunday, November 25, 2012 at her home after a brief battle with cancer. She was born January 26, 1943 in Robinson, IL, the daughter of Ralph Eugene Barrick and Ruth Jane Goff Barrick. During her lifetime, Donna worked at Heath, Crawford Electronics, and waitressed at Henrietta€™s Restaurant at Gordon Junction. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, crocheting and spending time with her family.Donna married Robert Tidwell, and he survives. She is also survived by 5 daughters and sons-in-law, Lora Hyre, Connie & Mickey Ramsey, Donna Sue Hyre, Dessie & Scott Carr, (all of Palestine), and Kathy & Theron Carpenter (Robinson); her daughter-in-law, Debbie Hyre (Robinson); her brother, Wayne Barrick (Robinson); her sister, Mary Woods (Newton); 13 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; many cousins, nieces, nephews, and special friends.She was preceded in death by her parents; and a son, James Donald Hyre.Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 29th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Palestine with Rev. Paul Gray officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 28th at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Crawford County Relay for Life or to the Good Samaritan Hospice with envelopes available at the funeral home.
