Larry Dean "Rider" Pittenger

Larry Dean “Rider” Pittenger, 53, of Robinson, IL, died on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at the Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. He was born November 15, 1960 in Terre Haute, IN, the son of Charles Pittenger & Norma Brown Pittenger. Larry was a member of the Martinsville High School Class of 1978. He was a machine tender at Victor Dana for 12 years. He is survived by his children, Anthony & Jessica Pittenger (Hutsonville, IL) and Heather Pittenger Rich (Robinson); his grandchildren, Keagan Pittenger, Owen Pittenger, Emma Rich, Peyton Pittenger, Parker Rich; his brothers & sisters-in-law, Emery & Dawn Pittenger (Charleston, IL), Mark & Tammy Pittenger (Marshall, IL), Danny & Shery Pittenger (Willow Hill, IL), Tim & Missy Pittenger, (Martinsville, IL) Terry & Brandy Pittenger (West Union, IL); his sisters & brother-in-law, Carol Ann & Steve Parks (Paris, IL), and Cathy Bachelor (Robinson); as well several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his father; his brother, Tom Pittenger; and his niece, Victoria Pittenger. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 19th at the Prust-Hosch Funeral Home in West Union with Pastor George Meese to officiate the service. Burial will follow in the Walnut Prairie Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
