Larry Ness

Larry M. Ness, 60, of Robinson, IL, passed away at 3:00pm on Sunday, May 24, 2015 at the Crawford Memorial Hospital in Robinson. He was born August 3rd, 1954, in Monroe WI, the son of Loyis & Nancy Newlin Guyer Ness. He married Dorthy Meese on February 20th 1982, and she survives of Robinson. He is also survived by his sister, Carla Guyer of Chicago, IL; his sisters-in-law, Marylan Flenner of Oblong and Kathy Meese of Oblong; his brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law, John & Phyllis Meese of Oblong and George & Penny Meese of Robinson; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Larry worked for Victor Dana from January 1979 to June 2010 as a press operator. He spent many weekends away at the cabin, where he could be found fishing and growing a garden. He and Dorthy also bred Toy Poodles for some time, and had many pets of their own. He will be remembered as both a man who never did anything halfway, and as a man who loved his family. A time of visitation will be held from 3:00-6:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 28th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Thursday with his brother-in-law George Meese officiating the service. Burial will follow at a later date in the Shire Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Crawford County Humane Society, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
