Larry Wayne Patterson

Larry Wayne Patterson, 72, of rural Robinson died at 9:05 a.m. on April 2, 2012 at his residence. He was born April 4, 1939 in Flat Rock, IL, the son of Ellis Reed and Mildred Marie Rush Patterson. Larry served his country in the United States Marine Corps, and was decorated with the Good Conduct Medal. A member of Local #439 in Terre Haute, he was an iron worker for over 40 years.On February 12, 1993, he married Kay Currie, and she survives. He is also survived by his three children, Debbie Rice (Robinson, IL), Ragon & Kenny Hilderbrand (Robinson, IL) and Sam & Sabrina Schurenberg (Augsburg, Germany); five grandchildren, Rachel & Aaron Deckard (Newburgh, IN), Zachary Hodson (Robinson, IL), and Kayla, Ryan, and Kendalyn Hilderbrand (Robinson, IL); six brothers & sisters, Robert & Ann Patterson (Indianapolis, IN), Evelyn & Warren Bowden (Terre Haute, IN), Dale & Loretta Patterson (Marshall, IL), Darold & Maria Patterson (Rockville, MO), Sharon & Al Sherman (Austin, TX), Shirley & Mike Pinkstaff (Bridgeport, IL); as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Leo Patterson.Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 5th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson, with Rev. Leland Culp to officiate the service. Burial will be in the Robinson New Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 4th at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to either Lincolnland Hospice or to Toys for Tots, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
