Larry William Jones

Larry William Jones, 67, Lake Station, IN, died Sunday, March 8, 2015 at VNA Hospice Center, Valparaiso, IN. Born July 28, 1947, in Robinson, IL, he was the son of Denzil Jones and Pauline Richart Jones. He worked for US Steel of Gary, IN for over 38 years and was a member of the Steel Workers Union, Local 1066. He was married to Carolyn Gilaspy in June 1966, and 3 children were born to this union. He was married secondly to Carolyn Grubbs. Surviving beside his wife are children, Kris Jones, Ceres, CA, Jon Jones, Portage, IN, and Kyndra Resso, Newnan, GA. Also surviving were brothers and sisters-in-law, Eugene and Peggy Jones, Robinson, Carl and Sue Jones, Robinson, and Steve and Marcia Jones, Waterloo, IL. Five grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents and a younger brother Jesse Jones. Visitation will be held at the Goodwine Funeral Home, Robinson, on Thursday, March 12, from 4-7 pm. The funeral will be held Friday, March 13, at 11 am.
